What You'll Do
- Place, track, and manage purchase orders using vendor systems such as Maximo & Ariba, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation of orders, quotes, invoices, and order confirmations.
- Manage inventory for supplies, lab coats, uniforms, cylinder gases, detergents, and union winterwear, ensuring accurate counts and timely restocking.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, colleagues, and scientists to ensure smooth operations and address any issues or changes.
- Perform audits, inspections, and compliance checks for vendors, ensuring all training, access, and procedures are followed.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and support the team in achieving cost savings and site-specific targets.
- Collaborate with the Lab & Logistics Services team to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain high customer satisfaction through leadership, responsiveness, and creative problem-solving.
