Role Overview

Sodexo Live! is seeking a General Manager, Aviation Lounge, for our Airport Lounge Business Segment to manage a luxurious lounge that is a dedicated space for elite passengers to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy food from the buffet, first-class dining options and/or order beverages from the full-service bar. We are seeking a dynamic general manager who will create a first-class and welcoming experience for our guests.

As the Lounge General Manager, you will be responsible for daily operations and service staff, including bartenders and all food and beverage services for this premium private club. This is a hands-on management role, and you will be very active in daily service operations. The ideal candidate will have high-end food & beverage experience, a strong eye for details, excellent service standards, and, most importantly, be a true team leader to translate that into action, inspiration, and empowerment for your employees to grow and learn. As the General Manager, you will also be responsible for financials and cost controls.

What You'll Do

  • Lead from the front by being present and inspiring your team through your love of premium hospitality, travel, food, and beverage and your expertise in creating luxury guest experiences.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment to mentor and develop frontline (hourly) staff while overseeing daily food operations and delivering a high-quality product.
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and serve as an expert in Profit and Loss, inventory, and fiscal responsibilities of operating a stand-alone business.
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
  • Ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs.
  • Travel nationally and internationally for required training.

What You Bring

  • A proven track record managing food and beverage teams in elevated restaurants, hotels, cruise lines, or similar food and beverage experiences focusing on exceptional luxury hospitality service.
  • Strong leadership skills to create high-performing teams, managers, and supervisors, an effective mentor/coach work style, and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills while connecting with audiences, including leadership based in Europe
  • Knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, management systems, and menu graphics programs.
  • Experience in financials, preparation, and oversight.
  • Involvement in the local community through participation in activities that support and improve social well-being, such as local associations, public discussions or forums, and/or nonprofit organizations.
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Fluency in more than one language is a plus.
