Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 Food to lead our dining services atAviva Pembroke located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Aviva Pembroke is retirement living at its best. This 7-story senior living community, includes 121 independent living apartments, 20 assisted living apartments, and 12 memory support units. The General Manager will report to the District Manager and lead a team of 2 managers and 15 hourly employees. Strong communication, client relations, and team-building skills are essential.

What You'll Do
- have oversight of day-to-day dining operations (dining room service);
- drive employee engagement and resident satisfaction through strong leadership skills;
- integrate fully within our client's organization and be a trusted advisor with a customer service focus;
- achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
- ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;
- provide technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed.

What You Bring
- prior food service management experience at the director level preferably in a senior living / healthcare environment
- a passion for a high level of customer service
- a strong financial acumen
- the ability to develop trust and build strong client relationships while meeting the expectation of the client as well as Sodexo;
- demonstrated experience managing a culinary team and exceptional human resource skillset;
- hands-on manager with an innovative leadership approach to management;
- ability to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines;
- have the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
