Nourish is seeking a Food Service Warehouse Manager at our commissary kitchen in Long Island City, New York!
The Food Service Warehouse Manager's main responsibility is to oversee the smooth and efficient operations of our warehouse and commissary facility. This involves optimizing processes, ordering/procurement, creating SOPs, ensuring safety & compliance, and promoting a collaborative work environment to support our logistics and operational goals. Your role includes supervising the accurate and efficient fulfillment of orders in a commissary setting. This role demands strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and the skills to conduct business with vendors to review performance to the contract and identify future business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Management: Lead and supervise the warehouse fulfillment team; develop and implement strategies for order picking, packing, and shipping; ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment; monitor inventory levels, create par levels and order food, materials and equipment.
- Facility Oversight: Oversee facility maintenance and repairs; implement preventive maintenance programs; manage facility budget and security systems; coordinate with vendors and manage facility improvement projects.
- People Management: Train and mentor warehouse staff; conduct performance evaluations and manage schedules and payroll; foster a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
- Administrative Duties: Implement process improvements to boost efficiency and productivity; monitor KPIs and collaborate with cross-functional teams; stay updated on industry trends and warehouse management technologies.
Looking for Candidates Who Have
- Experience: Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, purchasing, inventory management, and logistics.
- Skills: Proven leadership and team development abilities; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Additional Attributes: Track record of driving operational efficiency and achieving targets; knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a commissary environment; strong organizational and time management skills.
