Role Overview
SodexoMagic's newest account in Campus Dining is seeking a Food Service Manager 3 to join our team at Wayne State University! Our successful candidate will direct daily operations of a fast paced, high volume Resident Dining hall, serving over 1800 students on meal plans. Candidates must be flexible in their schedule to oversee 40 Union employees over multiple shifts. This manager will be responsible for driving employee engagement , hiring, training and mentoring frontline employees, as well as ensuring all staffing levels are met. This position will serve as an Assistant Director for all campus food service.

What You'll Do
- have oversight of day-to-day dining operations;
- Interface closely and daily with residents, faculty, client executive level leadership and client board members;
- ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved.
- deliver high quality food service;
- achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
- develop and maintain client and customer relationships; and
- create a positive, welcoming environment for students and employees.

What You Bring
- 2 - 4 years High volume Campus Dining experience from a large university, or other high volume dining environment
- Strong employee engagement leadership skills and a passion for customer service
- Experience with hiring, training, developing a large food service staff - Union experience a plus
- Some culinary experience, understanding of Dietary Restrictions / Options
- Manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
