Sodexo University Dining is seeking a Food Operations Manager 3 to join our dining services team at Northwest Missouri State Universitywhich is located in Maryville, Missouri. Northwest Missouri State University is a smaller dining services account with approximately 500 student boarders, with offerings that include: Resident Dining, Retail, Conferencing & Catering Services. Reporting to the General Manager, the Food Operations Manager will assist in the oversight of a dedicated and talented team of employees within the dining operation. This position will lead the management food team with a strong focus on service, standards, training, systems, programs and client excellence. We are seeking a well-rounded food operations manager with experience that includes front and back of the house food operations, as well as catering services.

Established in 1905, Northwest Missouri State University is a state-assisted, comprehensive four-year regional university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).   • a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • catering knowledge with proven experience delivering upscale events with great visual appeal;
  • a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
