Role Overview

Sodexo is hiring a Food Operations Manager 2 for Peninsula School District in Gig Harbor, WA. Our ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage front-line employees in a dynamic environment. The ability to manage multiple priorities, knowledge of the NSLP guidelines, USDA commodities, and a culinary background is strongly preferred. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. What You'll Do

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations while delivering high-quality food service;
  • ensure Sodexo and National School Lunch (NSLP)/USDA standards are met;
  • provide employee training and development;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • assist in the development and implementation of strategic/marketing plans; and
  • create a positive working environment.

What You Bring

  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • has previous experience working within a K-12 environment;
  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
