Role Overview

Sodexo is looking for a Facilities/Engineering Operations Manager to oversee a client site in Temple, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing the value of the client's assets and meeting operational and financial objectives by creating and executing a comprehensive Strategic Plan for each property in the portfolio. This role involves daily communication with onsite leadership, maintaining records and documentation for all preventive maintenance activities, managing the budget, and providing weekly financial reports.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate maintenance services, ensuring adherence to contract obligations, quality standards, and client expectations, while managing financial goals, cost control, and performance metrics.
  • Foster strong customer relationships and collaboration with facility team leaders to align operational and strategic goals, driving continuous improvement and a proactive service culture.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of skilled personnel, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, health, safety, and legislative requirements.
  • Manage sub-contractors, monitor performance, and ensure SLAs, KPIs, and contractual agreements are met, while providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to ensure operational excellence.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, oversee reporting standards, and ensure profitable and cost-effective asset management while identifying and implementing process improvements.

What You Bring

  • a proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments;
  • Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape, and energy management;
  • demonstrated business and financial acumen with a strong P&L understanding; payroll oversight and budgetary oversight on some services;
  • exceptional customer service, relationship building, and communication skills;
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building;
  • Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) is a plus
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 5 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
