Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Concordia University in Austin, Texas. We are in search of a passionate, talented, culinary leader who is excited by innovation and is always up for a great challenge. Our operations at Concordia consist of Resident Dining, Catering, and a small retail operation. Concordia sits on a beautiful campus in Northwest Austin on a nature preserve. Concordia is a private faith based university, with an amazing student body, and great partners on campus. The successful candidate will maintain a positive presence throughout the campus, train and develop employees, maintain Sodexo procurement standards, and work within budgetary constraints. Developing staff and maintaining regulatory compliance will be key components to this position. Duties will also include ordering supplies, tracking meals, managing expenses & standards, and team building.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- a strong culinary background
- demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
- excellent leadership and communication skills
- ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies
- previous experience working in a high volume facility
- manage the daily food production including production planning and controls
- ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
- manage food costing, controls and compliance
- develop menus and manage inventory
- have high expectations for customer service and quality of food
- have the ability and willingness to develop and train frontline employees
- have a passion for food and innovation
- have knowledge of special diets and allergens
- knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is ideal

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
