Sodexo is hiring an Environmental Services/ Custodial Operations Manager 2 for Berkeley Medical Center, a 190 bed regional hospital which is part of West Virginia University Healthcare system. The successful candidate will oversee all EVS operations supervising a team of 75 who are dedicated to helping patients achieving optimum health and wellness.

The ideal candidate will oversee Day Shift (10am-7pm, Monday-Friday) for the Environmental Services Department managing housekeeping with a firm understanding of hospital regulatory and HCAHPS standards. Preferred candidates will be have excellent customer service skills and previous housekeeping experience. This manager will place a large focus on the patient experience, customer service, and positively affecting patient satisfaction scores. Some weekends and holidays may be needed when business needs dictate.

  • have in-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures;
  • have experience improving patient satisfaction, and driving full compliance to HCAHPS, local, state and Joint Commission standards;
  • have 3 years previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience., in a hospital, health care experience preferred but not required;
  • are proficient with computers and other technology
