Are you ready to take the lead in creating exceptional dining experiences within the vibrant cultural hub of the University of Texas at Austin? 1883 Provisions, in partnership with Sodexo, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Restaurants to oversee our on-site restaurant operations at Texas Performing Arts.

Responsibilities:

As the Director of Restaurants, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our on-site restaurant at the University of Texas Austin. You will lead a talented team of culinary professionals and hospitality staff to deliver exceptional service and drive business growth. From menu development and financial management to staff training and guest satisfaction, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the dining experience for our university community.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and enhance guest satisfaction
  • Lead and mentor restaurant managers and staff to ensure high-quality service and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to develop innovative menus that reflect current trends and meet diverse dietary needs
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze data, and implement cost-saving initiatives to achieve budgetary goals
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume setting
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and commitment to guest satisfaction
