Mercy Hospital is expanding its team of Registered Dietitians!
Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for Mercy Hospital, part of the Allina Health system. Mercy Hospital has two campuses, Mercy in Coon Rapids and Unity in Fridley, MN. This position is ~75% inpatient and 25% outpatient. Selected candidate will work at both campuses which are ~ 8 miles apart.
The successful candidate will:
- provide inpatient nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units ~75% of the time; focus on critical care;
- administer advanced care to critically ill patients by managing intricate nutritional needs like tube feeding and parenteral nutrition;
- provide MNT in the general outpatient clinic ~25% of the time;
- work every 8th weekend providing hospital-wide coverage;
- perform quality improvement initiatives;
- educate food services staff and healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses; and
- precept dietetic interns.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Basic Management Experience: 7+ months general supervision
Basic Functional Experience: 3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty
