Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Dietetic Technician, Registered for a Lifestyle Coordinator role in the Outpatient Bariatric Medicine department at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA. This position is remote but must be on-site one or two days per month, so candidates need to live a commutable distance from the location. The Dietetic Technician will perform the initial assessment of patients via telehealth referred to the Bariatric Medicine program.

  • Serve as a Patient Navigator for the Weight Management Center, helping to guide and educate patients on options for weight management
  • Assist with program development, promotion/marketing, screenings, and patient recruitment
  • Assist and support departmental program evaluation and outcome measurement activities

What You Bring

  • Dietetic Technician, Registered certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to function independently
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with clients and the medical care team

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice in a Dietetic Technician Program as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework in a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) as dictated by ACEND, or required coursework and supervised practice in a Certified Dietary Manager Program as dictated by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM)

Credentials Requirement:

  • Meets eligibility requirements for Nutrition & Dietetics Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM)
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
