Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 for University Hospital Health Systems in Cleveland, OH. Ideal candidate MUST have ultrasound experience. As a key member of the biomedical engineering team, the Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment, specifically ultrasound systems, are properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning to meet safety and performance standards.

What You'll Do

  • Ultrasound experience; preferably GE, Philips, Sonosite and Bard
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
  • Scheduling flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation schedule

What You Bring

  • experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices.
  • experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
  • excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
  • specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: sterilizers, vents, dialysis, pumps, anesthesia, monitors, general biomedical equipment
  • certification as a Biomedical Technician (CBET).

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
