Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking afull-time Bariatric Dietitian to join our multi-disciplinary team at Erlanger Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Center located in Chattanooga, TN. Erlanger Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Center is a nationally accredited center that offers comprehensive surgical and non-surgical options to help patients achieve positive, life-long weight loss. This outpatient position is vital in helping patients in our community lead healthier lives through effective nutritional care.

What You'll Do
- perform comprehensive nutrition evaluations and consultations with medical and surgical weight management clients using motivational interviewing and counseling skills;
- be responsible for the management of patients planning for bariatric surgery or who have undergone bariatric surgery;
- be responsible for oversight and implementation of the nutrition portion of a medical weight loss program;
- provide an interface with the medical and endocrine services by providing diabetes education;
- assist in the development and production of educational activities and support groups;
- participate in the quality improvement process and performance evaluation of the program; and
- participate in marketing/public relations efforts and patient retention initiatives.

What You Bring
- Registered Dietitian credentials and licensed in Tennessee or ability to obtain license;
- extensive knowledge in various modalities of treatment of obesity, CSOWM preferred or ability to obtain in one year;
- excellent interpersonal communication skills and teaching skills;
- ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision;
- CDCES preferred.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
