Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an Area General Manager to oversee our dining operations at two prestigious continuing care retirement communities: Garden Spot Village located in New Holland, Pennsylvania, and Frederick Living located in Frederick, Pennsylvania. Dining operations include upscale bistros, multiple full-service dining rooms and retail outlets. The Area General Manager will report to the District Manager and manage 5 managers.

The Area General Manager must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operations to make every day a better day for our clients and residents. Best qualified candidate will have strong hospitality skills, excellent leadership and communication skills. Will interface with the client and residents on a regular basis to listen to and look for opportunities for innovation and creativity.

What You Bring

  • prior food service management experience at the director level with experience in high end restaurants, country clubs or continuing care retirement communities
  • have strong financial acumen
  • experience driving employee engagement and resident satisfaction through strong leadership skills
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
