About the role:


We are looking for a talented data professional skilled in Snowflake Machine Learning,Data Analytics and Data Engineering topics to assist in technical enablement of university educators and students, and content development for integration to academic curriculum. This role will be pivotal in introducing Snowflake to the next generation of data professionals, equipping them with the skills and knowledge in data analytics, data engineering, application building, data science, and AI using Snowflake.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Technical Enablement & Cultivate Academic Partnership and Integration:
  • Educator Enablement: Provide technical resources and training opportunities to educators to enhance their ability to teach Snowflake and incorporate it into their coursework
  • Technical Advocacy: Evangelize Snowflake by engaging through presentations, workshops, hackathons, and other interactive technical events for academia
  • Curriculum Integration: Establish robust connections with educators and academic leaders to drive the integration of Snowflake into academic curricula
  • Cultivate Partnerships: grow strategic partnerships with higher education institutions and educators to expand the reach of Snowflake technology within academic community

Technical Curriculum & Content Development:
  • Evaluate technical contents created by Snowflake SMEs and determine how these can be converted into quality learning materials for academia, through improvements to words, visuals, codes, and overall flow of ideas
  • Build learning modules including lecture slides and labs for academic learners through partnerships with Snowflake SMEs
  • Record videos add visual design and deliver quality multimedia content to support the curriculum.
  • Create sample student projects built on Snowflake key features and real world or open data sets to help educators and students with compelling experiential learning
  • Feedback Loop: Incorporate feedback from professors and students to continuously refine and improve the content.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in remote position, collaboratively with academics, and demonstrate initiatives.
  • 5+ years of experience in programming language Python and SQL; in databases such as SQL databases, analytic databases.
  • 3+ years of experience in teaching in the fields of data analytics, data science, or data engineering.
  • Proficient in Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with source control tools Git and Github and coding project management tools like Jira.
  • A demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly to keep abreast of Snowflake's rapidly evolving platform and incorporate new features and capabilities into educational content as appropriate.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $195,300.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.


The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
