The Cameos team is innovating new ways for Snapchatters to express themselves with their friends. With Cameos, you become the star of short, looping videos that you can customize with your own face and send to friends in Chat. The team consists of engineers, designers, and content specialists who are committed to creating the perfect Cameo for every moment.  Working from London, you'll play a key role in designing and building new Cameos features that millions of Snapchatters use every day.

We’re looking for an Android Engineer to join the Cameos team!

What you’ll do:

• Create and refine performative mobile apps that push the limits of mobile technology

• Build fun, new products that run smoothly and stably

• Conceptualize, develop, and launch new features

• Carefully evaluate the technical tradeoffs of every decision

• Work with the design team to hone in on the best UI and infrastructure practices

• Carry out code reviews to guarantee code quality

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Solid understanding of Java and/or Kotlin 

• Knowledge of multithreading and concurrency

• Knowledge of software design patterns and mobile best practices

• Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience

• 4+ years of experience with Android development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RxJava and Dagger

• Experience with OpenGL

• Personal projects or achievements (e.g. programming olympiads, hackathons, participation in well known open source projects, top ranked apps, etc.)
