We’re looking for a world class Global Indirect Tax Senior Manager to join the Snap Finance team!  Reporting directly to our Global Head of Tax, you’ll play a key role on our Tax Operations team, leading our global indirect tax function, including accounting, compliance, planning and controversy, collaborating with other groups within our tax and broader finance teams. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead our global indirect tax accounting, compliance and controversy activities  

  • Drive operational excellence across core global indirect tax activities

  • Proactively identify, manage and implement tax opportunities for the business

  • Participate in new product and market launches to ensure that indirect tax compliance processes are implemented correctly.  

  • Ensure compliance with global e-invoicing directives and digital record keeping requirements (i.e. UK Making Tax Digital).

  • Lead the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of our tax engine software as integrated into our Oracle ERP system and custom billing solutions

  • Assist with internal control compliance efforts, including enhancing control framework and coordinating quarterly testing of controls

  • Research complex indirect tax issues, including applicability of digital services taxes, non-resident VATs and withholding taxes

  • Assist with global expansion and M&A integration from an indirect tax perspective

  • Manage third-party vendor relationship, engagement, and budget

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of global indirect tax systems (VAT, GST, DST) including applicability of VAT on transactions, VAT invoicing requirements, VAT report maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and reverse charge disclosures

  • Ability to understand common principles of US indirect tax and ability to apply them to the business

  • Experience defending indirect tax positions subject to audit

  • Must be able to operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment

  • Must have a strong work ethic and be able to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously across multiple jurisdictions

  • Detail oriented with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communicator with desire and ability to build relationships

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent years of experience

  • 7+ years tax experience in Big 4 public accounting firm, multinational company, or combination thereof

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in taxation, CPA, Chartered Accountant, and/or JD 

  • Experience in Oracle ERP and tax engine (Vertex/OneSource/Avalara) softwares
