We’re looking for a Marketing Insights Lead to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Marketing Insights and Strategy team, you will launch local or region-specific research related to consumer and business moments and localize global advertiser and consumer insights. Working from our Sydney office, you’ll collaborate with other insights team members, Global Business Marketing, Communications Sales, and Marketing Science to drive local relevance in our business and consumer advertising and communications.

What you’ll do:
Be the absolute expert about our community and consumer research in Australia and other priority APAC countries across multiple disciplines and audiences
Collaborate with Global Business Marketing, Communications, Sales, and Marketing Science teams to build consumer-driven narratives based on first-party data, quantitative and qualitative external research primarily in support of ad sales organization
Identify outages in consumer or advertiser understanding at vertical and market level in Australia and other priority APAC countries and both commission new research and localize centrally-run global research
Work closely with headquarters insights teams to ensure any research conducted globally is locally relevant and translated to include unique market needs. Will be responsible for localizing and socializing global insights studies for Australia and APAC priority markets, in particular among the local advertiser community
Work with media and analytics teams at headquarters to measure impact of local advertising campaigns
Represent Snapchat at industry events and conferences to share latest thought leadership and learnings relevant to the category and community
Identify and recommend local research partners, both syndicated and primary
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Deep understanding and experience across custom quantitative and qualitative research design across vendors and categories
Strong synthesis skills across multiple types of research. Makes recommendations with a strong, data-driven point of view
Leads research with no oversight and strong strategic thinking capabilities. Understands where to "poke holes" and challenge research to make outcomes more bulletproof
A clear understanding of what drives the advertising industry
Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, work flawlessly under tight deadlines, and prioritize across several simultaneous projects
Exceptional attention to detail with a keen eye for presentation design and conveying granular data in a digestible way
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a team player attitude
A passion for Snapchat and creativity
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
8+ years experience in market research, including experience focused on the advertising industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working across multiple APAC/SEAK markets
Experience across multiple industries
Previous experience managing across time zones
