We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Discover Experience to join our Discover Engineer organization. You will support a team of Software Engineers building products that help Snapchatters keep in touch with their friends and discover content from the community and publishers, solving interesting technical challenges, delivering world-class experiences in Snapchat and maintaining the software and a platform used by hundreds of millions every day. Working from our San Francisco or Mountain View office, you’ll manage engineers across Seattle, Los Angeles and the Bay Area, and collaborate with leaders and executives across Snap to deliver the highest quality for our product.

What you’ll do:
Create and manage cross-platform (iOS, Android) product and engineering roadmaps that will enable the foundations of our content product strategy
Partner cross-functionally with stakeholder teams at Snap in order to align and deliver such product milestones
Build a scalable and sustainable mobile engineering foundation that will support our future product evolution
Evaluate the technical tradeoffs involved in key system design decisions
Closely collaborate with PMs in order to translate product requirements into technical designs, which are then turned into engineering roadmaps.
Define clear success metrics for the team as a whole and for team members individually
Manage and mentor a team of great developers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of experience working in software engineering
2+ years managing teams of software engineers
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as an IC, especially as a mobile developer (iOS or Android)
Experience with product development in the content space
Experience with shipping user-facing systems, especially at a large scale
History of involvement in product roadmapping and decision making
History of involvement in hiring and recruiting
