We’re looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join Snap Inc! As a member of the People Analytics team, you will provide meaningful insights aligned with our overall People strategy. Working from our Santa Monica, CA office, you’ll collaborate with data-driven colleagues and team members within the People team to help drive our workforce planning initiatives.
What you’ll do:
Develop predictive models using advanced statistical techniques to identify candidates that will likely be successful at Snap

Automate data validation with open source language like python or R to validate data sets
Contribute to advanced analytics projects like ONA-Analysis, cluster analysis, and other assignments as needed
Minimum qualifications:
Currently pursuing a masters or MBA degree in data analytics, research methods, statistics, computer science, or other highly relevant field of study
Experience manipulating data sets through script-based statistical software like R or Python
Experience using data visualization principles and manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel
SQL proficiency
Preferred qualifications:
Proven interest in Human Capital data and/or advanced analytics (project or previous internship)
Ability to communicate professionally and engage in stakeholder discussion
Strong commitment to quality and accuracy
Integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential information
Proactive self-starter with outstanding organizational and project management skills
