We’re looking for a Concept Designer to create characters and environment for AR games at Snapchat! We are looking for someone who is passionate about AR, loves and understands games, has perfect art skills and proficiency in user-centered design.
What you will do:
Visualise your ideas in 2D and basic 3D (simple shapes for further overpaint)
Create environment and character design

Design and build beautiful, clean illustrations, icons, and the key-art
Create UI in accordance to basic principles of UX
Participate in brainstorms and generate ideas
Develop creative solutions and ideas for AR related projects as well as creative ways of different new tech implementations
Collaborate closely with the Art Team and other concept designers
Collaborate with game designers, producers to shape ideas, set specifications for art project needs, and execute game ready assets
Learn how to use Lens Studio
Be open to giving and receiving design feedback
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in concept creation, illustrating beautiful and clean 2D artwork
Advanced design skills (UI, UX, fonts)
Basic 3D modelling skills
Strong portfolio
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of collaborating with 3D and VFX departments (understanding technical specifics)
Knowledge of at least one program besides PS (After Effects, Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, etc.)
Experience with designing AR/VR game and/or designing with 3D assets is a big plus
Expertise in color, composition, form and shape language
Excited to improve visual skills, learn new techniques and applicable technology
Ability to offer creative solutions based on design/art trends
Ability to work under circumstances when briefing details are not clear (or frequently changing)
Presentation skills
Attention to details, self-directed, professional approach to soliciting feedback
Excellent communication and collaborative problem solving skills
Critical thinking
