This team is composed of innovative product thinkers, engineers, and scientists who work together to bring captivating Snapchat experiences to life — all powered by artificial intelligence.
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Perception team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:
Design, implement, and operate our most critical and scalable services that support our machine learning and computer vision products
Work across teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver the solutions needed to build innovative products
Advocate for and apply best practices when it comes to availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong computer science fundamentals
Flexibility to work across the technical stack to support productization of advanced technology
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience
3+ years of experience with Go, Python, and/or Java
Experience working on large scale, consumer facing products
Preferred qualifications:
Flexibility to work across the technical stack to support productization of advanced technology
Proven track record of operating highly-available systems at significant scale
Interest in applications of machine learning and computer vision technology
A passion for Snapchat and creativity!
