Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a Network Specialist to work on site at Webster Field located in St. Inigoes, MD to work with the CST Program, supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as the Department of the Army, and National Guard Units. This position will provide day-to-day support for the Civil Support Team (CST).

Responsibilities:
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation
  • Ability to be a self-starter and take on the initiative to learn more advanced operations and technologies
  • Maintain internet applications and protocols IP,TCP,HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, & SSL
  • Enterprise user VPN solutions and ongoing technology refresh and enhancements
  • VPN design standards including design for integrating all Lines of Business
  • Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required
  • Identify configurations of existing F5 appliances and document via Spreadsheets an Visio drawings
  • Assist with maintenance of F5 devices for load balancing, PIV authentication and high availability/disaster recovery
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance
  • Perform periodic maintenance, hardware upgrades and replacement, firmware updates and system configuration changes
  • Attend planning and requirements meetings with IT staff, Program Managers and customers as required
  • Evaluates systems to identify efficiencies and improved ways of delivering technical service to the customer
  • Ensure monitoring tools are on-line and providing necessary alerting to provide notification of events/incidents/problems
  • Assist with maintaining team documentation
  • Monitor Ticketing System Queues for inbound requests and/or issues

Required Skills
  • 5 - 7 years related experience
  • In-depth knowledge of computer systems including installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
  • Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace.
  • Strong network troubleshooting experience
  • Familiarity working within the CLI
  • Prior experience with F5 Big-IP
  • Experience working with VIPS, Pools, and Sessions within F5
  • Experience working with iRules within F5
  • Experience in Windows Server 2012, 2016 Operating Systems
  • Experience in RHEL and CentOS Operating Systems
  • VMware knowledge preferred

Desired Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies
  • Familiar with Virtual F5 server management
  • Familiar with F5 GTM and LTM device management
  • Experience working with SolarWinds
  • Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and other guiding policy documents
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Linux+ or RHCSA certified
  • CCNA or Network+ certified
  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs


Required Experience
  • Experience with end-to-end mobile enterprise architectures, including mobile infrastructure, remote network access, and identity management required
  • Experience in engineering and deploying mobile solutions, including Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM), Mobile Content Management (MCM), or Mobile Application Management (MAM) operational deployment activities, including the development of SOPs and TTPs, EPLC operational readiness reviews and security approvals, software pushes, maintenance and monitoring required
  • Experience with mobile app vetting solutions
  • Experience in provisioning, managing and maintaining a distribution of mobile devices in the field (production) and MDM tools required
  • Experience in Windows Server 2012, 2016 Operating Systems
  • Experience in RHEL and CentOS Operating Systems
