In your new role as a cyber security professional, you will protect our customer’s most sensitive data and complex systems from all forms of threats including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software and applications. You will work with a team of like-minded professionals to share and collaborate upon your ideas to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. Your ideas and contributions will matter.

This is a contingent position based upon customer approval.

Position Details and Responsibilities

Skyepoint Decisions is seeking a Sr Data Visulazation Engineer to support the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. 

This position will work a rotating hybrid schedule in either Beltsville, MD OR Rosslyn, VA. WEEK 1 - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote WEEK 2 - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

What you will do:

As the Data Visualization Lead, you will need to have a deep understanding of data modeling concepts, best practices, have strong research, analytical, and excellent communication skills.

• Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and meet their reporting requirements.
• Develop, Design, and Maintain a Cyber Analytics platform to support data driven decision making through high-performance data visualizations, reports and dashboards which effectively communicate complex information to a divers audience.
• Conduct research and evaluation of vendor offering and support the design and implementation of the next generation of defensive monitoring tools.
• Support the development of dashboard views to support the information needs of the CTS Directorate and Department at large, ensuring requirements are being met.
• Perform requirements analysis and review related to stakeholder requirements for data analytics
• Create and maintain source-to-target implementation documents
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data visualization and dashboard design.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 12 years with Masters; 9 years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule. 
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analytics and data visualization.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with data analytics and data visualization tools.
• Data modeling concepts and best practices knowledge and experience.
• Possess ONE of the following certifications, OR be able to obtain before start date: CASP+ CE; CISSP (or Associate); CSSLP; Security+ CE; Project+; Agile Scrummaster
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Gov Cloud environments.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $104,000 - $127,000

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package. 

Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.
