Position Details and Responsibilities

SkyePoint Decisions, Inc is looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual to fill the role of a Software Developer to the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). The Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) provides audit and financial advisory services to Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal entities responsible for acquisition and contract administration. DCAA operates under the authority, direction and control of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller)/Chief Financial Officer.

 

This is a remote position.

 

The candidate shall be proficient with programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, C#, .Net, .Net Core, ASP.Net Core, .Net MVC, SQL, REST Web Services, HTML 5, and have experience with Unit Testing Frameworks, Automated Build Tools, Azure Devops, Git, and Agile Development methodologies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide development support for DCAA’s custom developed solutions, to include building web applications from the ground up using .Net MVC/ASP.Net Core and Angular technologies, converting or redesigning legacy applications using these technologies, and containerizing applications using Docker.
  • Provide support services necessary to continue on-going operations of existing IT systems, DCAA web applications, client-server applications and publicly accessible websites
  • Provide corrective maintenance services, including application bug fixes, fixes to pages/reports that are inaccurate, correcting business rules that contain bad logic, and/or assistance in completion of scheduled infrastructure or software upgrades
  • Maintain, Develop, upgrade and enhance DCAA web applications, client-server applications and publicly accessible websites
  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet all Information Assurance guidelines and regulations using Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, and Federated Identity Management, as directed and in a timely manner.
  • Work with Enterprise Architect(s) to make sure design and development efforts align with agency architecture future states, are not duplicated, and are well coordinated and collaborated
  • Automate or increase efficiency of current manual processes (automated builds, automated static and dynamic code analysis, unit testing, logging, release management and test automation for each project)
  • Keeps record of every application Authority to Operate (ATO) detail, collaborate with Information Assurance (IA) to start the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process well ahead of ATO expiry

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires 3 years of progressive Software development experience having programming skills in C#, .Net, .Net Core, ASP.Net Core SPA, .Net MVC, and SQL
  • Requires 1 year of experience in development projects using agile development methodologies, specifically Scrum, and familiarity with Azure DevOps Boards or similar work management application for tracking product backlogs and sprints.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Identity and Access Management.
  • Experience with distributed version control technologies i.e. Git
  • Requires one (1) of the DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certifications:
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA+
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • Security+ CE
    • CND
    • SSCP
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active Secret security clearance.

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package. 

Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.
