SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a strategic Portfolio Vice President to lead and execute overall programs strategy, manage programs P&L’s, and drive accountability to achieve successful results. This person is responsible for leading programs relationship development, financial reviews, performance management, strategic planning, growth, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives. This person will define measurable results for the organization that enable and support outstanding program execution for our clients.

 

As the Portfolio VP, this person will play a critical role in the successful delivery of programs. We are looking for expertise in program management and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment and will require active engagement and interaction with various stakeholders including employees, clients, partners, and functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

 

This person will need the ability to work a hybrid schedule in our Dulles, VA office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
  • Create, define, and execute the long-term program strategy.
  • Set expectations and interface closely with all stakeholders on the Executive Leadership Team on performance against execution goals.
  • Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the CEO and other leadership.
  • Establish and develop customer relationships and advise teams on best strategies for customer success.
  • Oversee multiple cross-disciplined project teams, and provide input on strategic decisions for client engagements
  • Develop, manage and achieve growth projections in Revenue, Bookings and Profit.
  • Manage a team of Program Managers who ensure project execution.
  • Achieve annual revenue goal and organic growth bookings target. Maintain a monthly financial forecast and action plan to deliver the targets. 
  • Collaborate with Growth, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources and Technology organizations to support corporate objectives including capture and proposal support, recruiting priorities, employee professional development and performance management, technical innovations and capabilities. 
  • Supervise, coach and mentor Prime Program Managers, Subcontract Portfolio Managers and Program Analysts. 
  • Establish and strengthen customer relationships. Serve as escalation point for Program Managers and Subcontract Portfolio Managers.  
  • Execute and strategically grow existing Prime contracts and Subcontracts. 
  • Guarantee contracts are completed within scope, on time and within budget to achieve “very good” and “exceptional” CPARS ratings. 
  • Establish, mature, and maintain Program Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve strategic objectives. 
  • Ensure strong employee communications and relationships via established engagement programs. 
  • Oversee Program Management Reviews, ensure actions items are completed, and update leadership on any issues in a timely manner.  
  • Foster leadership development while serving as a role model and inspiring team members to attain goals and pursue excellence. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or a related field.  
  • 15+ years’ experience managing operations or programs teams.  
  • Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule in our Dulles, VA office.
  • Experience managing Division Leads and Program Managers and delivering $50M+ contracts.
  • Understand financial metrics and levers to improve performance including managing profit and loss, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Understanding, managing, and mitigating financial risks associated with sustainment and growth initiatives.
  • Experience supporting Federal contracts and/or leading Federal Projects/Programs.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior management.
  • Must have experience building strong relationships with federal clients, employees, and partners. 
  • Have a successful history of driving business growth and capturing federal contracts.
  • Knowledge of the intricacies of federal procurement processes, regulations, and compliance.
  • A solid grasp of technology solutions, systems integration, and emerging trends in federal IT.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, as well as in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Demonstrated team-building skills to include experience mentoring and coaching others. 
  • Existing Secret or Interim Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Experience:

 

  • PMP Certification or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in IT, business, or a related field
  • Cloud, cybersecurity and/or software background.
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance or higher.

Compensation:

Salary Range: TBD

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package. 

Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for an incentive compensation bonus plan.
