SkyePoint is seeking a hands-on IT Administrator to manage our Microsoft 365 environment and company-wide IT infrastructure. This hands-on role will involve overseeing all software applications and licenses, hardware inventory, and provisioning, as well as supporting IT audits and cyber security compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless daily IT operations and be available on-site to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
This candidate must be able to work a hybrid schedule in our Dulles, VA office. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Microsoft 365 & AWS Management: Serve as the primary administrator for Microsoft 365 and manage AWS virtual machines, ensuring secure and efficient operation across the company.
- Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Provision hardware and software for new hires, manage logins and access, and retrieve IT assets from departing employees to ensure secure and efficient transitions.
- Operation and Maintenance of multifactor authentication (MFA) systems
- Daily IT Operations Support: Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner to avoid disruptions, supporting on-site needs as required.
- Email & Network Administration: Manage company email accounts, network configurations, backup storage, and ensure local enclave management is secure and effective.
- Software Management: Administer the full suite of software applications, manage licenses, track software costs, and regularly review software utilization for cost efficiency.
- Hardware Inventory Control: Maintain a current inventory of all hardware assets and ensure accurate tracking for optimal management.
- IT Audits & Compliance: Support audits and cyber security compliance initiatives, adhering to controls to maintain a secure IT environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT.
- A minimum of one year Information Technology related work experience.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange, Teams, Entra, Intune and SharePoint management.
- Laptop Management and Administration: Knowledgeable in Windows 11, Dell laptops, ConnectWise, and PowerShell.
- Cybersecurity administration: Familiarity with Sophos, CyberArk, Tenable and MS Defender
- Strong IT Fundamentals: Knowledgeable in IT asset management, network configuration, and backup storage solutions.
- Hardware & Software Provisioning: Experience in provisioning hardware/software, managing licenses, and performing inventory control.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues on-site to maintain smooth operations.
- Communication Skills: Clear communication skills for assisting employees with IT needs and documenting processes and inventory.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IT Audits and Compliance: Knowledge of IT audit processes and cyber security control adherence.
- Network Security & Cybersecurity Awareness: Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices to maintain compliance and protect company infrastructure.
- Ability to receive IT training and obtain necessary certifications post-training.
- Ability to be a quick learner and possess a “can-do" attitude.
- Ability to perform Independently and/or in a team environment.
- Ability to research and discover solutions to problems.
- Ability to work with vendor Tech support (i.e. Microsoft, AWS, etc.)

Compensation:
Salary Range: $75,000-90,000
The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package.
Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for an incentive compensation bonus plan.
