Position Details and Responsibilities
Skyepoint Decisions is seeking a Cyber Incident Handler to support the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.
The customer requirement requires every employee to be onsite for the first 90 days in Beltsville, MD. After the 90 day period, a hybrid schedule may be offered.
You must be able to support shift work. This current opening will support the Evening shift, Sunday-Thursday, 2:00PM - 10:00 PM EDT.
In this role, you will:
- Support the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT).
- Detect, classify, process, track, and report on cyber security events and incidents.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams as needed to analyze and respond to events and incidents.
- Perform triage and response capabilities 24x7x365.
- Monitor and triage the CIRT hotline, email in-boxes, and fax.
- Create tickets and initiate workflows as instructed in SOPs.
- Report incident information to the U.S. CERT.
- Collaborate with other local, national, and international CIRTs as directed.
- Deliver and oversee remediation activities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with minimum of 2 years’ experience. And additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Possess at least ONE of the following certifications:
- CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+ , GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP
- The ability to support 2nd shift - Sunday to Thursday; 2pm to 10pm EST
- Experience collecting and analyzing event information and performing threat or target analysis.
- Experience supporting operations related to persistent monitoring on a 24/7 basis of all designated networks, enclaves, and systems.
- Demonstrated competence in managing and executing first-level responses and addressing reported or detected incidents.
- Comfort level with reporting to and coordinating with external organizations and authorities.
- Background in coordinating and distributing directives, vulnerability, and threat advisories to identified consumers.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Possess an active Secret security clearance.

Compensation:
Salary Range: $65,000-$74,000
The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package.
Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.
