Thesis title: Optimization of thermal management and charging strategies to extend the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries using artificial intelligence and predictive modeling.

What we're looking for

The evolution of the electric vehicle market is undeniable, with significant advancements in extending vehicle range and performance. Central to these advancements are lithium-ion batteries, whose lifespan and performance are motivated by various factors, including temperature, state of charge, and power demand. Predicting their service lifetime given these complexities remains a challenge. This PhD project at IFPEN strives to address this by demonstrating artificial intelligence, specifically Machine Learning, and predictive modeling to optimize thermal management and charging strategies for these batteries.
