Siemens Empowers Education and Startups - Ambassador Intern

In the Siemens Empowers Education and Startup organization, we are aligned with Siemens Digital Industries Software's academic strategy. As a part of the strategy team, we are responsible for managing Student and Employee Ambassador programs. In support of that, we have a need for an exceptional computer scientist or engineering student who can manage the Mendix app for the ambassador programs to ensure successful execution of expanding our direct direct engagement with employees and students across the globe. The right interns work will include all aspects of strategic work in the app, including but not limited to, functionality, reporting and the overall needs of the users. The intern should have a solid understanding of UX, digital marketing and be highly organized and detail-oriented as well as self-motivated, goal-oriented and possess good interpersonal communication skills. The student will champion projects that allow you to:

  • Partner with other academic team members to help execute a Mendix app to support growth initiatives
  • Monitor, research and analyze data, with focus on engagement measures
  • Support three remote design-hack challenges in US, Europe and Asia
  • Assist in conference preparations
  • Become familiar with Mendix back end and produce desired outcomes and analysis in the Campus Connect Mendix App
  • Experience performance tracking of execution through the app
  • Work with academic strategy team to devise strategy and implementations plans to increase effectiveness of program execution
  • Work with other interns and student ambassadors to drive social media engagement
  • Operate with minimal supervision as this is an individual contributor role

Organization Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering Management, or Business / Communication with an interest in Engineering
  • Experience, interest, or knowledge in Engineering or Manufacturing principles
  • Structured thinker and excellent analytical skills, able to identify and communicate solutions and recommendations
  • Interest in low code
  • Ability to analyze unstructured data, articulate opinions based on the data, and formulate a plan to address deficiencies
  • Willingness to reach out and leverage employees for technical support
  • Research competitive landscape
  • Strong, polished oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to large audiences and provide status updates on a regular basis
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft required; familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM tools beneficial, able and willing to learn new productivity software skills
  • Comfortable with frequent meetings via phone and Microsoft Teams
  • Flexible, adaptable, strategic and proactive

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
