Cloud Application Services (CApS) provides world class SaaS delivery of DI SW SaaS enabled products to our global customers, which drives a demand for highly controlled and well documented processes and tools, within CApS the Process and Tools Engineering team are responsible for the delivery of processes and tools to enable our company to do this efficiently and at scale.

Job Profile/Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced principal enterprise architect to join our dynamic team in Cloud Application Services.

In this role, you will certainly rely heavily on your excellent working knowledge of core business applications (Teamcenter, Polarion, Capital and more) but more importantly you will have tireless ambition to drive and improve the way we deliver these solutions to our SaaS customers at scale from a global position. This requires a complex mix of application, infrastructure, automation and process engineering knowledge to achieve our business goals, all of which must be linked to the deep product knowledge that you already possess. You will be responsible not only for analyzing, designing, and optimizing our own Siemens CApS business processes to enhance our efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction, but also to provide support, guidance, and enablement to the wider business to enable and deliver capabilities.

Ideally you are a Six Sigma Business Process Engineer and will apply your expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify process improvement opportunities, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization however in-job training can be provided in this area if required.

Your understanding of delivery methods in Siemens services and of our DI SW products, however, is something that is mandatory to apply for this role.

Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Support our CApS Engineering function with your in-depth working knowledge of our products, in-particular Teamcenter and Polarion.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of current business processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop process improvement strategies.
  • Help to drive the adoption of business process engineering standards into the wider business, supporting other business process engineering resources to meet and adopt these standards.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to design and implement optimized processes that reduce waste, improve quality, and increase productivity.
  • Lead process improvement projects, including mapping as-is and to-be process flows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing solutions.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics and measurement systems to track progress and identify opportunities for further improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of process improvements and monitor their ongoing impact.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business process engineering and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Business Process Engineering & Design in CApS

General:

  • Clearly understand the process levels (L1 to L4) and how each level should be correctly represented.
  • Clearly understand process interdependencies, interactions, inputs, and outputs to make sensible and considered business process improvement and optimization based predominantly on L2 and L3 processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and document current and future Level 2 and Level 3 business processes in Solutionlink applying Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) techniques and standards.
  • Maintain L2 and L3 processes up to date when changes and variances have been introduced/identified.

Governance & Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with CApS Process Engineering regulatory standards and guidelines, best practices, and compliance requirements during process design and improvement.
  • Maintain and promote standardized CApS Process Engineering process definitions and terminology across the organization.

Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead functional and end-to-end process walkthroughs with stakeholders to define/identify process inputs, outputs, KPIs and Control Points.
  • Understand stakeholder needs, requirements, and pain points to propose effective process solutions.
  • Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control key business processes.
  • Conduct process assessments to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.

Business Process Frameworks & Taxonomies:

  • Maintain CApS Process Engineering frameworks and taxonomies.

Change Management:

  • Address resistance to change and ensure successful adoption of new processes.
  • Influencing without authority.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience in the delivery of solution and enterprise architecture as a project lead for a Teamcenter project.
  • Proven communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders up to D-Suite.
  • Proven working knowledge of Polarion and work execution in the Polarion platform.
  • Proven experience in business process engineering, process improvement, and ideally Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The total cash compensation range for this position is $124,200 to $248,400 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
