What we're looking for
We are seeking individuals who are currently enrolled in a university in Czech Republic (bachelor's or master's) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or have equivalent work experience in Java development. This role involves practical experience with a wide variety of software engineering tasks including coding, testing, and building.
The successful candidate will have access to shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with seasoned professionals while building new functionality in a well-established product.
This is a paid, part-time role with a flexible schedule to accommodate school requirements.
What you will be doing
- Design and develop, document and test new software applications (Polarion);
- Contribute to Continuous Integration /Continuous Deployment and build scripts;
- Pro-actively improve product quality and implement changes to increase productivity (such as slack bots or internal reports);
- Work closely with testers and other developers to ensure that requirements are clearly outlined before coding commences;
- Actively contribute to planning and assessment meetings.
What you will bring
- 0-2 years of experience in software development (from work or school)
- Basic knowledge of development skills in Java
- Knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, XP, Kanban)
- Experience in unit testing with Junit
- Good skills in HTML/JS
- Proficient usage of English
