Be an integral part of a team that is developing comprehensive verification IPs for interfaces such as PCIe Gen 6/Gen6, USB4.0, 400Gigabit Ethernet, DDR5, LPDDR5 and leading coherency protocols like CXL.
Responsibilities:
- Use Verilog / SystemVerilog to develop IC Verification IP
- Establish an IP test and verification environment for communication protocols such as CXL/PCI-Express Gen 6/USB 4.0 /DDR/Ethernet
- This position is to develop the digital simulation models of those protocols, which are provided to IC Designer for the functional verification of the RTL at the design stage. Hence, the models will be used by RTL designers to verify their IC design work.
- All IPs are software modules that simulate the behavior of circuits in high-level languages, and do not need FPGAs.
- Compared with IC design which focuses on circuit functions, this position focuses more on the development of the entire system.
- In addition to the development and verification environment, the engineers are responsible for customer support and training.
- Read the latest specifications and support customers
- Work on technologies involving SV, UVM, assertions, coverage, test plan, BFM design, debug, and logger-
- Most customers are located in the US and the engineers may need to have meetings with R&Ds in other countries depending on the situation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven good knowledge of PCIe, CXL protocols
- Work experience in a Design Verification role
- Knowledge of SystemVerilog, UVM
- Strong understanding of SystemVerilog, verification IP concepts, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong understanding of simulation tools like VCS, Xcellium. Compilation, elaboration and simulation flows.
- Strong understanding of standard protocols like PCI-Express, CXL, or similar protocols like USB, Ethernet.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English.
- Ability to effectively handle customer relationships and understand their needs.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, while ensuring R&D's time is accurately balanced.
- Collaborative attitude, capable of working closely with multi-functional teams.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a diligent approach.
This role is based in Taipei but you'll get the chance to work with teams impacting entire cities, countries - and the shape of things to come.
