Position Overview

As a member of SiemensEDA's R&D department, you will work as part of an R&D teamdeveloping integrated circuit simulators. You will be involved inall phases of the software development cycle in a competitive industrialenvironment requiring creativity, innovation, cutting-edge technology and aculture of quality.

As part of our internationalteams, you will develop your technical and human skills in contact withexperienced developers working different simulators, written in C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Work with other team membersto understand requirements and propose solutions

• Write robust, maintainablecode using best practices in C/C++

• Write test cases and work withQA to develop automated regression tests

• Maintain and improve existingsoftware, restructuring or rewriting as necessary

• Work with tech pubs todocument functionality as required

• Take ownership and makeupdates and enhancements on existing code

Job Qualifications

Trained as an engineer orequivalent in computer science and/or applied mathematics and/or electricalengineering, you have successful experience (three years or more) in softwaredevelopment or relevant domain.

You are not expected to be amaster in all 3 domains, but at least you should be an expert in one of them,pass a certain threshold and have interest to build up more experience in theothers.

• Strong programming skillsusing C/C++.

• Familiarity with Linuxenvironment and Shell scripts (bash / sh / csh); version control systems(Git, etc.) ; debugging tools (gdb, valgrind, etc.) and profilingtools (perf, VTune, etc.)

• Your command of Englishand your good interpersonal skills will enable you to integrate easily into adynamic international team.

• You are at ease in a technicaland scientific environment.
