As an Architect with a deep interest in serverless architecture and cloud technologies coupled with an interest in System Simulation, you will work with teams to design the implementation of scalable, secure, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective cloud-native applications that are based on and reuse components from existing desktop simulation software. Your focus will be on utilizing software and cloud design principles to lead team members in iteratively deploying cloud services that meet the demands of modern high performance System Simulation software efficiently.

In this role, collaboration is central: you work closely with business partners to understand application requirements and translate them into scalable cloud architecture solutions. As you oversee planning, executions and delivery of projects and tasks, you also coordinate with multi-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals.

By providing technical mentorship to team members, fostering an experimental development culture with continuous improvement, your daily missions will be to:

Assist in iteratively breaking up a monolithic desktop architecture into client and server components or configuration that enables a scalable, resilient and secure cloud deployment of System Simulation tooling. You will lead in the best methodologies for test automation, continuous monitoring, infrastructure as code (IaC), CICD processes and DevOps and produce suitable documentation of cloud architecture for various company processes.

Discover and apply technological, architectural, process and coding innovations and through your influence see them adopted in the organization such that the deployment of tested high-performance features for our customers is accelerated across our product suite, either desktop or cloud.

What you'll bring:

We would love to hear from you as a passionate engineer graduated in computer science/IT or other STEM subjects, with experience (3-5 years) in designing and implementing scalable and secure architectures for cloud-based applications and an interest in simulation software.

To succeed in this position, you will need to be able to learn to lead collaboratively various internal stakeholders. Your communication skills will enable you to contribute to a team discussion in an international context, listen to other perspectives, bringing help and problem-solving to assist other team members. Critical-thinking abilities will go far toward contributing to your success.

You join us with knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, AWS cloud platforms and their services, as well as strong expertise in more than one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++) together with proficiency in software development methodologies. You are experienced with IaC, CICD tools and understand testing automation and continuous monitoring practices. We would like you to bring expertise of cloud design principles, microservices architectures, and serverless computing.
