Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism. Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems. Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve significant re-architecture of important systems, defining and coordinating implementation of wide-reaching impacts. Acts as Technical lead of major projects within one area of a product. Frequently consults with customers in regard to future upgrades and products. Influences the technical direction for one area of a product. Promotes innovation through the ability to introduce new technology/knowledge into at least one area of a product and to our people. Provides high-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis. Provide problem resolution and technical leadership for the group. Possesses broad knowledge of internal operating systems, applications implications and customer areas. Technical Lead in guiding junior engineers. Works without supervision on highly complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgment and technical expertise. Extensive knowledge of the field.

Senior Software Engineer - Xcelerator Data Hub
Siemens Digital Industries Software (DISW) business segments provide a strong suite of Integration products that its customers have been successfully using for several years. These products provide integration within DISW portfolio and between DISW portfolio and selected non-DISW Strategic Adjacent systems. As part of DISW transition to the Cloud & SaaS, these integrations are also transitioning and being enabled to operate in Cloud & Hybrid mode for our customers.
This is one of the key focus areas for Siemens Xcelerator Data Hub program, through a Cloudification Governance model. We are looking for experienced, passionate, and enthusiastic technical team member to be part of this critical program
Responsibilities
- Focal Data Hub technical contact for specific DISW Business Segments to enable their integration products for Cloud & Hybrid operation - focus between AWS, Azure & Kubernetes
- Work closely & collaboratively with Business Segment team to evaluate existing integrations, identify, and recommend all aspects of technical approach for Cloud transition of integration products
- Support Business Segments in developing their technical transition plan
- Support scoping, planning & and execution of proofs-of-concept as required
- Work with cross-functional teams of architects and product experts
- Work with the Data Hub infrastructure team for creation and configuration of cloud environments
- Track progress & maintain a scorecard for transition & cloud readiness of every assigned integration, and align with Business Segment representative(s)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM discipline supplemented with 10+ years of real-world programming & architecture experience
- Strong architectural background & hands-on experience in defining or implementing complex software architectures - 5+ years
- Understanding of core AWS/Azure services, uses, and basic architecture best practices - 4+ years
- Proficiency in developing and deploying cloud-based solutions leveraging at-least one of the hyper-scalers (AWS, Azure, others), Containerization, DevOps - 4+ years
- Active & demonstrated experience on Cloud security models and implementation
- Experience in providing active Technical Leadership & guidance - 4+ years
- Cross Organization engagement & Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of varying technical abilities (Development, Partners, Operations etc.
- Superior verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail including precise and effective communications
- Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Working knowledge & hands-on experience in implementing some of Siemens Digital Industries products (Teamcenter, Opcenter, Simcenter, Capital, Xpedition, Polarion, Tecnomatix, CAD)
- Working knowledge & experience in some of PLM, ALM, MBSE, EDA, MOM software
- Understanding and experience with considerations regarding integration landscapes, data & process governance
- Deep industrial knowledge and experience in one or more sectors; Enterprise / IT, PLM, OT

The salary range for this position is $121,400 to $218,500 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
