About the role:

Looking for an experienced software engineer to join the HEEDS team developing the user interface for our modeling and data visualization desktop application. Our priority is providing robust software that is easy to learn and easy to use and is the gateway to our powerful design-space exploration capabilities. While the initial focus is on desktop application development, there is potential for expanding to a web-based collaborative application platform.

The position involves working on a diverse range of projects and all aspects of software development related to interface and architectural design, data analytics, and results visualization. The option is available to select an area of focus after gaining experience with the product.

Are you a seasoned C++ developer with a passion for crafting high-quality software? We're seeking a talented individual to contribute to exciting projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Educational Background:
    BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • 5 to 10 years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming using C++.
    • Hands-on experience with Qt or similar event-based UI/UX frameworks.
    • Bonus: Familiarity with numerical methods, data analytics, or web development.
  • Collaboration Skills:
    • Strong teamwork and cooperation abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Prior development experience in a production environment (commercial software) is highly desirable.

What You'll Do:

  • Innovate and Build:
    • Design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions.
    • Research and resolve bugs to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Plan and Collaborate:
    • Work closely with the team to plan and execute sprints effectively.
    • Write and review software requirements documents to maintain project clarity.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Develop QA tests and detailed documentation to support implemented functionalities.
