Senior Software Development Engineer

The Calypto Systems Division (CSD) of Siemens is looking for 2 Senior Software Development Engineers.

Main responsibilities

• Execute RTL Logic Synthesis design using logic synthesis tools, with an understanding of physical-aware logic synthesis.
• Conduct complex analyses and debug results using statistics and data predictions to identify issues or areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with customers, research partners, and academia to drive innovation-related initiatives, including developing new scripts and flows.
• Apply the infrastructure and learning from these initiatives to Siemens EDA products.
• Analyze and improve Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) for RTL by enhancing flows and methodologies.
• Participate in the specification, architecture, design, and development of features.
• Work effectively with globally distributed engineering teams.

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering with 2-8 years in Design/EDA industry.
• Knowledge of RTL to GDS flow (Logic Synthesis, Floor planning, Power planning, Placement/CTS/Routing, Optimization, Timing Analysis).
• Understanding of digital electrical circuits.
• Ability to learn new flows, adapt on the job, and influence QOR.
• Experience with tools for Physical Design Implementation in advanced nodes.
• Understanding of power analysis and power integrity analysis.
• Scripting skills in Tcl & Python for flow development/support.
• Experience with High-Level Synthesis, HDL languages, and/or SystemC.
• Programming skills in C/C++, Tcl, or Python (preferably on Linux).
• Experience with High-Level Synthesis tools (e.g., Catapult).
• Experience with 3DIC designs or flow/methodology development.
