Key challenges

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a commercially responsible team strategy to enhance revenue and achieve business and sales targets, ensuring alignment with Siemens DISW's global strategy and goals.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead and mentor a team of Sales Managers, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development to foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Pipeline and Pursuit Oversight: Drive the strategic direction for sales pipelines, oversee key pursuits, and ensure effective execution to close deals in line with business guidelines.
  • Financial and Operational Management: Manage budgets, cost controls, and pipeline reporting, ensuring accurate monitoring of financial and non-financial performance metrics.
  • Customer and Market Engagement: Represent Siemens DISW in management review boards, strategic customer accounts, and marketing or analyst conferences to strengthen customer relationships and market presence.
  • Sales Strategy Contribution: Collaborate on defining multi-year sales strategies and business plans while adapting to market reactions and managing commercial risks.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure all sales activities meet legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements while upholding Siemens' compliance guidelines and professional integrity.
  • Bid and Account Management: Lead strategic bid proposals and review accounts regularly to prioritize strategic activities, allocate resources, and mitigate business risks.
  • Coaching and Mentorship: Provide coaching to junior Sales Managers and Account Orchestrators, fostering successful strategies and developing future leadership within the team.
  • Holistic Customer Strategy: Facilitate long-term customer retention strategies by capitalizing on future business opportunities and fostering growth across broader customer operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Software Sales Management in SaaS business, including value selling (e.g. Challenger approach).
  • Knowledge of Digital Industry Software Solutions and sales processes/methodologies.
  • Strong skills in presentation, communication, facilitation, and collaboration.
  • Shown expertise in customer leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making based on CRM systems SFDC
  • Experience in people and business management, achieving goals, and managing execution.
  • Strong big-picture thinking, sharpbusiness insight, and entrepreneurial demeanour.
  • Skilled in negotiation, conflict management, and leading through change.
  • Relevant degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or Sales (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with travel to customer sites as needed.
