Calibre semi-manufacturing team is seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to help promote and deploy Calibre RET/OPC solutions at TSMC. You will work as part of a cross-functional team, interact closely with customers and internal stakeholders to help achieve reproducible technical success. 1.Drive Calibre RET/OPC technology at TSMC with hands-on technical expertise
2.Support Calibre RET/OPC tool evaluations, competitive benchmarking, troubleshooting and removal of technical obstacles on-site
3.Develop a network of technical relationships with TSMC, promote technical service to build and improve customer relationships and long term satisfaction
4.Identify and prioritize customers' technical requirements and challenges, communicate with test cases and usage scenarios and connect them with Calibre solutions and product roadmap
5.Test and characterize Calibre solutions including product features and enhancements to meet customer requirements, provide insights with recommendations to product development team for path finding for enhancements and next generation product
6.Communicate with customers and stakeholders to set, adjust, and manage priorities with flexibility depending on dynamically changing customers' environment
7.Create and deliver product demonstrations, trainings and presentations to customers and field engineers on product and features updates.
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
1.M.S. or Ph.D degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
2.5+ years of experiences in semiconductor industry with deep understanding of IC fabrication process
3.Hands-on experience in the post-tapeout flow with leading EDA tools is required. Experience with Calibre DRC, RET, OPC or lithography solutions is a plus
4.Strong ability to learn and explore new technologies and able to demonstrate good analysis and problem solving skills
5.Capable of characterizing and implementing scripts, libraries and other functionality required for successful tool or flow deployment
6.Scripting language (Tcl/Tk, Python or equivalent) is required; C/C++ programming is a plus
7.Must be familiar with UNIX/Linux environments
8.Must have demonstrated success in effectively working in a fast-paced team environment with proven track record of delivering projects on time with high quality
9.Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills; both verbal and written
10.Ability to travel
