You'll be asenior member of a dynamic, cross-functional, geographically dispersed team,working with subject matters experts from Infrastructure engineering &architecture, software engineering, DEVOPS, security, networks, firewalls,computing & storage to deliver a global, powerful, scalable, costefficient, highly available platform that meets the changing needs of thebusiness.

Asan experienced infrastructure and cloud DevOps engineer & lead, you willhave responsibilities in defining, planning, implementing, and operatingautomated infrastructure and processes at scale. You will create and maintainPaaS environments that meet service level agreement; support the resourcerequirements of the development, QA, and customer value realization teams;enable CI/CD; meet compliance and best practice standards; and are welldocumented. You will lead, proof of concept and first of a kind activity tovalidate product concepts.
Recognizedby peers as a strong collaborator. Must excel in a team environment thatchanges with new technology adoption and evolving customer requirements. Workswith some supervision on the most complex projects and desires to obtaincomplete latitude for independent judgment. Has excellent written and verbalcommunication skills.
Responsibilities
Provideengineering leadership to a global platform team that's tasked with building,operating & maintaining a global, highly scalable and optimized Multi-cloudruntime platform, focusing initially on container runtime but advancing toother backing services (databases, caching, message queues etc).
Developand maintain highly scalable, efficient, performant & resilientcapabilities, meeting availability targets of 99.99%.
Leverageyour advanced experience of Public and Private cloud environments and containerruntime environments, working with other specialists of Networks, Firewall,Security, computing & storage technologies to develop, operate and supportthe platform.
UsingInfrastructure As Code (IAC) and coding (Python, Go) best practices, createautomated infrastructure within AWS, Azure, on on-premise environments,including package management, application load/configuration, API development,systems monitoring and administration.
Implementand maintain CI/CD tools, services, processes to support development, QA, andcustomer value realization teams.
Strongleadership of technical and organizational strategic planning, design,implementation, and operations. Extensive experience of working with PaaSArchitects to develop best in class PaaS solutions.
Deliverimprovements to source code management, deployment, operations, maintenance,cost control, security, monitoring, and audit tools and processes.
Constantlystrive to reduce toil and deliver capabilities that enable Siemens DISW tomaintain competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Drivesecurity & operational best practice across the team, ensuring platformmeets compliance requirements for ISO27001, SOC2, GDPR, PII and otherregulatory or legislative requirements.
Ensurethe production environment is operating in accordance with establishedprocedures and best practices. Provide escalated support for high severity andcritical network events.
Providethought leadership, coaching & mentorship to the platform teams, fosteringa positive enjoyment working environment and enabling the team to excel intheir field.
RequiredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience.
Bachelor'sDegree
TechnicalLeadership of PAAS, IAAS or Software Development team, driving businessoutcomes and influencing business direction, systems & culture.
Advancedworking knowledge with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services: ECS, EKS, S3, VPC,Lambda, Networking, IAM at advanced level
Advancedworking knowledge with networking and security threat models
Advancedprograming & scripting - Python, Go, sh/bash
Advancedworking knowledge of LINUX OS and open source ecosystem
Advancedworking knowledge with system automation of highly scalable environments
Advancedsystem administration experience, including troubleshooting, support,mentorship/training and oversight
Advancedknowledge of design & implementation of GitOps processes
Abilityto adopt and extend continuous integration and testing processes, GitLab-CIexperience preferred
Abilityto manage goals, track milestones and report on status
Advancedworking knowledge automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins..)
WorkingKnowledge of Cloud monitoring tools: e.g. CloudWatch, Cloud ability, orequivalent
