Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Fremont, CA is $188,926.00-$257,100.00 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Execute both pre-sale and post-sale technical support activities including assessment of how company products meet customer needs and the prepare product specifications for development and installation of customized applications/solutions. Provide on-site support when issues arise with client's use of Analog Mixed Signal products. Work closely with area sales management, account teams and customers to understand business opportunities. Drive business using technical expertise and working directly with customers as a part of sales team at the appropriate management level to establish criteria for successful engagements. Assist technical teams, including the factory, to establish value for business products and differentiate from the competition. Contribute towards the area technical sales plan with management, and communicate frequently with peers and management on progress and account status. Provide pre-sale technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations. Establish and maintain lines of communication with design engineering on issues such as considerations for product reliability. Work with marketing and product managers to define new products and provide insight from the field back to internal teams to meet customer needs and shape product direction. 30% telecommuting permitted. 10% domestic travel required.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in an Application Engineer related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Utilizing spice simulation tools to perform benchmarking of customer's designs

2. Working with circuit design to analyze the benchmark results

3. Mapping simulator capabilities to application-specific requirements;

4. Working with Analog Design methodologies and flows including the different types of analysis solutions for analog design including Spice, Fast-Spice, and Mixed Signal - Mixed-Mode

analyses and design flows;

5. Working with Analog simulators such as Spectre, HSPICE, AFS, and mixed-signal circuit simulation tools;

6. Working with Unix and Linux OS

7. Scripting to create custom design flows
