QA Test Engineer

We are looking for 3 QA Test Engineers to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.

Main responsibilities

  • Understand the challenges of FPGA-Based Prototyping and Multiple FPGA Partitioning, and work on qualifying new tool features to address these challenges.
  • Test and validate the complete flow from ASIC design to FPGA implementation.
  • Develop test plans, execute tests for new product features, and create testing methodologies for various FPGA-implemented technologies: HW-SW co-simulation, Power-Aware verification, Assertions-based verification, Coverage, memory modeling, and debugging.
  • Use simulation, formal verification, and emulation solutions to verify FPGA design transformations.
  • Participate in product functional testing, license testing, performance testing, installation testing, and GUI testing throughout the release lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the validation plan for new HW systems and HW interface support.
  • Understand customer usage and assist with integrating customer designs into our test environment.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining build and regression infrastructure.
  • Report, validate, and triage defects to identify root causes, define their criticality, and address any testing gaps.
  • Utilize code coverage techniques/tools to assess product testing coverage.
  • Assist in deploying and monitoring other qualification techniques: static code analysis and memory checks.

Knowledge & Experience Needed

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Digital/RTL Design Basics.
  • Proficiency in Hardware Description Languages: VERILOG/VHDL or System Verilog.
  • Familiarity with FPGA flow and P&R tools (Vivado/Quartus).
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages: Shell/Perl/Python.
  • Knowledge of Siemens EDA Tools such as Simulation, Emulation, or Formal is a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance Concepts and Software Testing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Testing Strategies, Test Planning, and Testing Automation Tools is a plus.
  • Preferably familiar with Defect Tracking Systems, Configuration Management, and Code Profiling Tools.
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and share knowledge effectively.
