PositionOverview

TheTessent division seeks a highly motivated, creative, and energetic leader as ProductEngineering Manager, specializing in design-for-test (DFT). Successful ProductEngineering Managers possess strong leadership skills as well as deep technicalknowledge.

Tessentis the market and technology leader of automated tools for insertion ofsemiconductor design-for-test (DFT) structures, automatic test patterngeneration (ATPG), embedded deterministic compression (EDT), memory built-inself-test (MBIST), logic built-in self-test (LBIST), diagnosis-driven yieldanalysis (DDYA), hierarchical DFT solutions such as Streaming Scan Network(SSN), and analog fault injection and test. This position presents a greatopportunity for technical growth and exposure to state-of-the-art semiconductordesigns while getting exposure to marketing and business.

Responsibilities include but are notlimited to:

  • Product Engineering Managers have twomain responsibilities: people management & execution of product engineeringprojects
  • Manage a team of Product Engineersworking on diverse DFT technologies and products
    • Motivate,inspire, and grow the technical knowledge and careers of Product Engineers
    • Builda team of subject-matter experts (SMEs) who are trusted advisors to customersand internal R&D teams
    • Workclosely with Product Managers to align PE tasks and yearly goals with productobjectives, strategies, and priorities
    • Setthe example as a subject-matter expert, demonstrating technology, debug, andtool use knowledge
  • Execute technical DFT andcross-functional projects
    • Defineand characterize new product capabilities needed to meet customer requirements
    • Expertuser of Tessent products in field of expertise
    • Workcollaboratively with Tessent R&D to prototype, evaluate, and test new DFTproducts and features within complex IC design flows
    • Workthrough complex technical issues and independently create solutions and newmethodologies
    • Leadbeta programs and support beta partners
    • Explaincomplex principles in simple terms to broad audiences
    • Create and deliver in-depthtechnical presentations, training material, white papers, contributed articles,and application notes
    • Develop and reviewtool documentation such as User and Reference manuals
    • Workwith customers as well as Siemens EDA stakeholders including regionalapplication engineers, global support engineers, and marketing

JobQualifications

Thesuccessful candidate will possess the following combination of education andexperience:

  • BSdegree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, ComputerEngineering, or related field is required
  • Musthave 8-10 years of experience, including 4+ years of experience in DFT forcomplex ASICs / SOCs in some of the following areas: Automatic test patterngeneration (ATPG), internal scan, embedded scan compression (EDT), packetizedtest delivery (SSN), memory built-in self-test (MBIST), logic built-inself-test (LBIST), IEEE 1687 IJTAG, analog design and simulation, andhierarchical DFT implementation
  • Experiencein managing and leading a team of engineers
  • Knowledgeof IC design trends and emerging requirements
  • Exposureto one or more adjacent IC disciplines such as the following a plus:
    • RTL coding and verification usingVerilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL
    • Synthesis and timing analysis
    • Place and route
    • Advanced IC packaging
    • DFT and test for embedded IP cores
    • Failure diagnosis
    • ATE use / test program development
  • Proficiencyin a scripting language like TCL (preferred) or Python
  • Experiencewith Tessent products and flows is a plus
  • Self-motivatedand results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellentorganizational skills
  • Excellentwritten and verbal English language communication skills
  • Proficiencyin LINUX and Windows environments
  • Locationcan be remote, hybrid, or in-office at the following Tessent locations:
    • Wilsonville (Oregon), Ottawa (Canada), Hamburg(Germany), Poznan (Poland), Fremont (California), Cambridge (UK)

This position will be subject to U.S. export controlrequirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/orExport Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent oneither verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary exportlicense.

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The salary range for this position is $145,700 to$262,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actualcompensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location aswell as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, andrelevant education/training.
