We're looking for a Product Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.

Product Engineers are highly skilled professionals who focus on resolving circuit simulation issues and complexities. They serve as the voice of the customer within cross-functional product teams. Their duties include analyzing and profiling software performance on large sets of analog circuits, such as ADC, PLL, SerDes, Memories, and High-Speed IOs, to improve simulation efficiency and reliability. Additionally, they support Siemens Application Engineers during initial adoption assessments and collaborate with R&D engineers and QA teams on advanced projects related to accuracy, performance, capacity, and functionality. They also develop technical materials and white papers to highlight Siemens EDA's expertise at international conferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve complex customer circuit simulation issues.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining dashboards to track issues and measure customer support effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineers to thoroughly understand customer problems and explore potential solutions.
  • Analyze root causes of simulator issues and contributing factors.
  • Develop and assess alternative solutions to unblock customers.
  • Design innovative experiments and identify creative workarounds.
  • Provide R&D with clear problem definitions and goals.
  • Work with R&D to determine resolution timelines and manage Application Engineers' expectations.
  • Use collected data to propose software and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Preferably experienced in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with SPICE netlists and control languages, including HSPICE, Spectre, and AFS, is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in designing and characterizing PLLs, ADC/DAC, high-speed I/Os, etc.
  • Flexibility to work with remote teams across various geographies.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with raw data.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share knowledge effectively.
