Position Overview
This is a presales role within the Siemens Digital Industries Software (DISW) division. You would be responsible for positioning DISW simulation solutions to meet technical and business challenges presented by our customers. This requires gathering customer and industry business and technical requirements and then executing customer facing demonstrations, benchmarks, and evaluations to deliver against those requirements. You have the opportunity to directly impact a customer through workflow development and enablement, and to directly impact product development by representing the voice of the customer.

There is also an emphasis on demonstrating business value to our customers using a Digital Twin / Digital Thread approach in which our simulation solutions are shown as part of integrated workflows across different portfolios (e.g., PLM, Electronic & Mechanical Design, Simulation, Manufacturing, ...).
This position provides opportunities for a significant amount of customer engagement in support of strategic DISW sales pursuits. Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with clients are critical to success in this fast-paced and broad engineering role. Responsibilities
- Provide technical presales support for the DISW simulation portfolio, leveraging a combination of application and domain expertise to target a variety of customers in industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, and Industrial Machinery.
- Develop proof of concepts, demonstrations and execute benchmarks of the DISW simulation portfolio.
- Assist in closing sales by demonstrating the value and benefits of the DISW simulation portfolio to drive positive customer outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the DISW simulation portfolio by evaluating current functionality; identifying gaps to be filled; monitoring the competitive landscape; analyzing and relaying customer requirements to the product development team.
- Train and mentor customer technical leads and subject matter experts in the application of the DISW products.
- Pursue a growth mindset by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and speaking at technical trade shows or conferences
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- At least 3+ years current experience in simulation software presales or strong industry experience related to engineering simulation software.
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills
- Collaborative mindset to take personal ownership of team objectives and proactively complete work independently to meet those objectives
- An adaptive individual with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
A strong background in one or more of the following topics is highly desirable:
- Experience working in or with the Automotive or Aerospace markets with a working knowledge of common design processes, objectives and constraints.
- Experience with Multiphysics simulation, multidisciplinary simulation, or co-simulation
- Experience with Simcenter 3D, Simcenter E-Machine Design, or Simcenter Motorsolve
- Experience using 3D CAD software, mesh generation software or CAE software from disciplines such as structural analysis or fluid mechanics, etc

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday
The total cash compensation range for this position is $124,200 to $248,400 with 10% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
