What we're looking for
We are looking for an intern to join our Customer Support team in London. The focus of this role is to contribute to the development and optimization of workflows in computational analysis and engineering, combining AI-driven methods with innovative simulation tools. The internship may involve investigating specific challenges in rarefied gas physics, aerodynamics, and electromagnetics to support strategic advancements in our CAE solutions.

What you'll be doing
a) Investigating Advanced CAE Challenges
In your role, you will therefore support the Support Team to tackle specific industrial challenges within the field of CFD for example:
- Rarefied gas physics, exploring low-density flow behaviours and applications.
- Conduct aerodynamic simulations and propose workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Investigate electromagnetic interactions in CAE, applying innovative methods to solve complex problems.
b) Collaboration and Reporting
- Document and communicate findings to support strategic decision-making and strengthen Siemens best practices.
- Work closely with industry experts to deliver impactful results aligned with the organization's objectives.
What you'll bring
You recently graduated with a master's degree, or are due to graduate this year. Your degree is in engineering, applied physics, computer science, or a related field.
- You have some experience: Computational fluid dynamics and/or FE modelling along with AI/ML applications.
- Your interests align with: Developing workflows and solving problems related to fluid dynamics and electromagnetics.
- You have a technical foundation: Knowledge of numerical methods, simulation tools (e.g., commercial or Open-Source fluid/EMAG tools), and programming in Python or MATLAB.
- You are curious about innovation: An interest in advancing traditional CAE workflows with cutting edge methods.
- You have excellent communication skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Nice to have knowledge: PowerPoint and Excel, along with other tools for data visualization and analysis, hold no secrets for you.
Please note that the internship is for 6 months. We are flexible with the start date.
