About the role / segment

Become part of our team now as a Business Development Manager for digital transformation in the "Consumer Packaged Goods" industry at one of our many locations in Europe.

You would join our zone team who drive strategic presales engagementsacross EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). You will advise selected customers on the digital transformation of their business landscape, by carrying out Value & Solution Road mapping activities.

The Presales Technical Account Manager aids in the execution of industry orientated, prescriptive and value driven software sales engagements, through productive business relationships with customers and prospects.

In this role you will be viewed as trusted advisor by your customers and prospects. This status is built through business conversations around industry trends, business challenges, business needs, and by sharing experiences from other customers in the same industry.

You will work with customers and prospects to develop a solution scope and (sometimes multi-year) roadmap, that is aligned with the business need identified and the sales strategy. You will speak with authority, articulating Siemens point of view on solution adoption to deliver competitive advantage.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Lead and implement industry focused, prescriptive software sales engagements, typically covering the whole Digital Enterprise.
  • Build trusted advisorstatus by communicating knowledgeably with the customer around industry trends & challenges, CP&R processes, competitor landscapes and wider value chain, through the delivery of thought leadership presentations and workshops.
  • Develop customer relationships through remote selling and face-to-face visits to facilitate future software sales.
  • Develop and drive internal initiatives, particularly around Industrial CP&R industry, that positively influence further business growth within this market.
  • Work closely with customers in the CP&R Industry to understand their business strategy and development and align their needs to the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio
  • Lead and implement sophisticated prescriptive sales engagements
  • Become the go-to-point in EMEA when it comes to Industrial CP&R activities.

What We Are Looking For.

As part of the sales team, lead and execute industry focused, prescriptive and value driven land and expand sales engagements through the development of productive business relationships with customers and prospects. Using insights from PreSales tools, work with the customer and account team to define an executable strategic Customer Roadmap, identifying land and expand opportunities within the customer organization.

Build credibility and improve customer confidence by having business conversations with the customer around industry trends, business challenges, and business needs. Using standard practices, provide guidance into the formation of a cohesive customer sales strategy, develop executive briefs, communicate solution visions specific to a customer or prospect, and prepare financially quantified value propositions and business cases, to support the sale.

Develop, using standard collateral, solution scope and roadmap aligned with the business needs identified and the agreed sales strategy. Speak with authority, articulating Siemens point of view on solution adoption to deliver competitive advantage. With guidance from more experienced TAM's if required, deliver technical campaigns coordinating Siemens and partnering resources to win new business including the development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concept, proposals, and business/technology status reviews.

Consume and support PreSales practices and standards relating to the role. Works independently on engagements of cross portfolio scope. Provides guidance and mentoring within country to others on the business value within an Industry, and on Siemens standard practices.

Your qualifications/Experience

  • Proven experience within the CP&R Industry.
  • Consolidated experience in a customer-facing sale, or business development function in a Software company
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge in some of the following technologies: PLM, MOM, Digital Manufacturing.
  • A good communicator and brilliant presentation skills and excellent relationship management skills
  • Experience with CXO level discussions.
  • Leadership and project management skill, to define and track structured work plans
  • Happy to travel within Europe - 10% to 30%
  • Good English language skills
